2 of my best friends, Parikshit & Ritu got married on 22nd Nov 2025. I had prepared a toast for the occasion, just in case time permitted me to perform. I always love expressing my affection to my friends in public. I didn’t get a chance to raise the toast at the wedding, so I decided to share it here!
I won’t take much time, just have a couple of things for this lovely occasion. Those of you who don’t know me, my name is Anish, and before Pari met Ritu, he met me. Now, why this is relevant, you’ll get to know in a second. Now, meeting him, you clearly know he is a really cool dude, but more importantly, he is very competitive, subtly competitive. You don’t believe me??? Just watch him on PS5!
On 23rd August, 2024, I was out on a date. At the end of the date, I called Pari & I tell him, I think I met the woman of my dreams. I think she’s it. You know, get me off the market.
And, you know, he dabbed me off, he said all nice things. Exactly one week later, on 1st September, 2024, Parikshit is on a date of his own. Next thing you know, the date goes well, and he calls me up. And these are his exact words. I think I met the woman of my dreams. I think she’s it. That date would turn out to be Ritu! And I’m like, dude, one week? You could only wait for one week? Just when I meet my woman of dreams?
And every moment past that, he’s been trying to beat me to the punch. One moment, Ritu & Pari are in South Goa. Next thing you know, he knocks on my door, And he says, “Bhai, ho gaya.” & I’m like, “kya?” & he’s like, “Bhai, roka”. A couple of months later, he knocks again, “Bhai, ho gaya”. I’m like, “kya?”, & he’s like, “Bhai, engagement ki tayyariyaan…” And now here we are.. At this rate, Bro if you say, “Bhai ho gaya” again before me, I will smash a water balloon on both of you.
But to be honest, I think I couldn’t have asked for a better addition to our cornerstone family than Ritu. Meeting her, we quickly realized, kyu ho raha hai jo ho raha hai! On top of being so beautiful and charming, She was super lovely and accepting; Her affection and love rubs off on all of us. Have always found her energy super infectious and her smile super warm. She makes Parikshit really happy!
Avicii once said “life is a game made for everyone. And love is the prize”. I don’t have a glass in my hands, but there’s always a glass in our hands & I just want to raise it to these two winners. They deserve it.
